Eissa Attar, an artist and urban planner based in Philadelphia, PA, bridges politics and place through architecture, urban theory, and photography. His work delves into themes of digital imagery loss and glitches. In his project titled, انا حلمت بسيدو بس ما كان شكله واضح, (I dreamt of sido recently, his face was blurry), Attar explores images regularly sent by his grandfather via WhatsApp. Despite losing much of the image data, technology leaves behind blurry traces. Through printmaking techniques, Attar breathes new life into these images, aiming to reinterpret their narrative.
